Loading Information
The key to successful vibration isolation is dynamic deflection. The values shown are considered "nominal" values and should be used only as a guide. This data represents nominal values of resilient mounts producing 80% effective vibration at 2.5 frequency ratio. For most applications this value should be acceptable, however, values, above 80% are obtainable if required. We suggest you forward the specifications of your application for our technical assistance.
The "nominal" data shown is based on a number of factors; i.e. frequency vibrations (cpm), natural frequency of media, dampening properties of polymer, static load deflection and direction of load. In most cases the load ratings have been calculated on 12.5% deflection for compression and 15% deflection in shear mode.
The values shown are for items molded from natural rubber which has been selected as the base polymer for most of the mounts shown. These values are subject to the standard RMA variations. For particular applicatinos such as exposure to ozone and oil, hydraulic fluid or operating temperatures above 150 degrees F, natural rubber is not recommended, however synthetic compounds are available to meet specific applications. Other compounds/polymers have different working properties and may perform differenty in application.
Compression and sheer loads shown should be used as a guide only and are not to be considered as "guaranteed." We suggest that pre-production samples be tested and approved based on your particular application and need where the part will be functionally proven under you operating conditions. When available, Minor will furnish samples at no charge or at a nominal charge. We welcome the opportunity to work with your engineers.
